I want to collect people's
wisdom -
and show it to the world!
Truth
is in the people. I used to look at books. And
… I went to study groups to learn about a specific subject but I
actually found that the most profound wisdom always came from what people
said, from their own opinion and, yeah, that every person has wisdom inside
them. And I want to bring this out. I want to collect people's wisdom - and show it to the world.
To
this end I have prepared 11 question that everyone can answer because all I am
asking is your opinion. The answers will be audio and/or video-taped and once I
have got enough answers I will compile them and put them into a film. How much
you participate is entirely up to you. You can just answer one question or all
of them. Your answers can just be audio taped or they can be video-taped. You
can give short or long answers. Your choice.
Who am I?
I
am a recent Fine Art graduate from the University of East London and my final
piece in my degree show was a meditative film in an immersive space. I am now planning
my next film project and I am asking for volunteers to participate.
Who can participate?
Everyone
can. Every participation is very much appreciated.
Will you get paid?
No.
Unfortunately I won't be able to pay you. But this is your chance to have a
say!
Is there a deadline?
There
is no fixed deadline. But I would ideally like to finish filming early 2016.
So, there is still plenty of time.
What if there is a questions you don't want to answer?
You
don't have to answer every question. Your level of participation is entirely up
to you. Even if you just give me the answer to one question, that would be
great.
Will everything you say make it into the film?
No,
sorry. That is not possible. Because it all depends on what everyone says and
how the answers of individual people fit together. I will try to look for a
golden thread running through everyone's answers and will edit the film
accordingly.

What do you need to do if you want to participate?
You
can either record your answers yourself or if you live in London I can film
you.
If
you record yourself, then all
you need is a smartphone and once you have recorded your answers (in landscape format please), you can send
me the digital files. But before you do that it would be nice if you could
contact me first. I have a few instructions that I would like to send you first
to make sure you look your best on film!
If
you prefer me filming you and if
you can meet me in London, then we can arrange a day for the shooting and I am
happy to do the filming.
